The 2021 Graduate Forum of Tsinghua University on Microchip was held at Tsinghua University from May 7th to 8th. The forum focused on cutting-edge hotspots in the chip field. Considering the national strategic needs, the forum, as an academic platform, strengthened scholarly exchanges, promoted interdisciplinary cooperation, activated innovative thinking, and helped to tackle tough scientific research problems.
On the afternoon of May 7, well-known academicians, school leaders, experts, scholars, and industry guests were invited to give speeches and keynote speeches at the opening ceremony. Dr. Wang Yu, co-founder/CEO of SEETRUM, also spoke at the opening ceremony as an expert consultant representative of the integrated circuit community.
Dr. Yu Wang said, “Now It is an important time for the transformation of the vision sensor chip industry and traditional CMOS technology is deeply integrated with micro-nano optics. In recent years, with the empowerment of vision sensor chips by micro-nano optics, CMOS image sensor has jumped out of their original limitations and can obtain more information. Spectral imaging is a representative of the next-generation imaging technology, and it is determined to become an important infrastructure for the artificial intelligence and big data industry in the future. SEETRUM has innovatively developed a hyperspectral imaging solution that is fully compatible with CMOS technology, which reduces the cost and volume of spectrum inspection equipment to less than 1% of the traditional solution. This technological breakthrough makes it possible for machine vision to surpass human vision. SEETRUM takes its place in the front ranks of the world and is committed to making spectrum perception ubiquitous with a wish to bring the spectrum to everyone's side.
The technological leadership of SEETRUM benefits from the over-20-year efforts of micro-nano optics research group led by Professor Huang Yidong in the Department of Electronics of Tsinghua University. Led by market demands and focusing on industrial applications, SEETRUM aims to not only provide solutions to tough problems, but also to master leading technologies that can help sit in the driver’s seat.
